I almost lost my life to COVID-19 – Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh


In a phone interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi on his Kokroko morning show on Peace FM, he recounted his ordeal with COVID-19.

The Minister of Education Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh said he narrowly escaped death from COVID-19 all thanks to God.

He narrates that a week to acclimating of Nana Akufo-Addo he wasn’t feeling well so he visited jubilee house hospital on Tuesday where he had some tests done.

On Thursday the result of the test come in and he tested negative for COVID-19, so he made it to the acclimation in Kumasi. When he got home after the acclimation he still didn’t feel well.

Upon return to Accra, he went back to the hospital where the doctor’s said result from the previous scan wasn’t very assuring, therefore, they will like to detain him at the hospital.

Four days into the detention at the hospital, his COVID-19 test came in positive extending his stay at the hospital.
