Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey Korle Constituency, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings

Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey Korle Constituency, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings says she lobbied for Asylum Down roads facelift.

Dr Zenator noted that she started the lobbying as far back as 2017 in the parliament house for the re-construction of Klottey Korle roads, not Mr Prince Appiah Debrah.

“I started lobbying for the road construction in parliament as far back as 2017 till now. Earlier this year, we went around with the engineer to inspect the roads,” she said.

She added that the Ministry for Roads and Highway did the tendering and advertised in the newspapers and awarded the contract.

She further explained that at the time she started lobbying for the re-construction of the road in the constituency, Klottey Korle Municipality hasn’t yet been established. We were part of Accra Municipal Assemble (AMA) then.

Zanetor Rawlings added that Mr Prince Appiah Debrah who claims to have lobbied for the road wasn’t even be elected as no party had done primaries.

“Mr Prince Appiah Debrah, who is representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) claims I know nothing about this construction. I was part of the municipality of Klottey Korle and part of the budget committee. This very project was not included in the budget, it is directly from the Ministry for Road and Highway. We should try and speak the truth in politic,” she says.

Zanetor Korley stated that she will not allow another person to take credit for her works.

She promised the people of Klottey Korle that she will always speak the truth.
