The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mr James Oppong-Boanuh yesterday 25th July 2020 dispatched homicide experts from the National Police headquarters to the Savannah region, to help search for the murderers of Madam Akua Denteh, aged 90 years, who was beaten to death at Kafaba near Salaga in the East Gonja District for allegedly being a witch.
The Police believes that the suspects have fled the town. According to the Ghana Police, one Sanjo is believed to have hosted Hajia Filina, the priestess who declared the deceased a witch.
Other suspects mentioned by the police are Aliu a teacher, Bumaye, Ashley, and Manafo.
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has announced a reward of two thousand Ghana Cedis (¢2,000)for information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects.

The Police Administration has condemned mob justice in any form and assures the public that it will fish out perpetrators of these heinous crimes.
