Koku Anyidoho, Former speaker for the Late President, John Evans Atta-Mills

According to Koku Anyidoho, 21st July 2012 was the Late John Evans Atta-Mills 68th birthday, that was the last time he paid Mills a visit at Osu where he lived.

“We prayed together and had a chat. It was Saturday. On 24th July in the morning, I had gone to the office to write a speech for him. I was in the office around 10: 00 am, there was a knock on my door accompanied with the shout saying ‘your father isn’t feeling well’ he said.

The late President he said was rushed to the 37 military hospital and in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Koku Anyidoho noted that around 1:00 in the afternoon, the doctor informed them he had passed away.

“It wasn’t an easy experience,” he noted.

Koku said the doctor told them that “he is tired, he has defiled medical science for eight (8) years. Let me go and rest.”
