The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) and the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resource has announced the extension of free water for another three (3) month through a press release.
The press release dated 26th July 2020, says as stipulated in the Mid-year budget announced on 23rd July 2020, the government of Ghana will be absorbing the domestic water bills of the citizenry from July through to September 2020.
The GWCL further states that landlords and landladies whos sell water to their tenants must allow them to use it for free from July through to September 2020.
The release also states that all metered stand-pipes must be used to serve citizens for free.
Also, water supply tankers and COVID free watatank are still in operation to serve the deprived communities.
