The mother of the KNUST SHS student who died on Tuesday has given a disturbing account of how her son lost his life.
Madam Comfort says the school authorities did not bother to administer first aid to his son who was suffering from severe stomachache but left him in the care of colleague.
In a circulating video captured by a student, teachers were spotted standing around whiles his colleagues were trying to save his life as they feared he might have the deadly coronavirus.
Madam Comfort noted that her son, Richard Sam, was an ulcer patient and that she even tried visiting him on Sunday 5th July but was turned away by security.
He also noted that his son has been a day student for 2 year and only joined his colleagues at the boarding house after school reopen for the final year students.
According to her, the issue happened in the morning of Monday but she was informed about the child’s situation in the evening when the issue was getting out of hand.
Meanwhile, the headmistress of the KNUST SHS, Felicia Asamoah Dankwaa has been interdicted due to the issue that has interrupted with academic work on campus.
