Ellen Ama Daako, Communication Team Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), says she wouldn’t be surprised if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) manifesto is a reply to the NPP manifesto.
Speaking on Neat Fm’s Me Man Nti program, Ama Darko says “when we say the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has nothing better for Ghanaians, people think we are joking.”
“It is normal that the NDC is yet to bring their manifesto, that all they do. At the time the NDC had to pick their running mate, they did the same thing,” Ama Darko noted.
Ama Daako mentioned that when the NPP elected Akufo-Addo as their Presidential candidate, the NDC made fun of it saying he was too old and that Ghanaians should vote for a young man like Mahama.
“Some of us had thought the NDC was allergic to old people, however, they selected Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman as their running mate, so now they believe old age is important,” she says.
“The NDC was supposed to launch their manifesto somewhere in July, but nobody knows what happened for them to change their minds to wait for us (NPP) to launch ours,” Ama Daako stated.
“Now that we have, I’m sure that their manifesto (NDC) will be a reply to ours (NPP). Because of that, I will not be surprised if the NDC come out to say for them they will not build Cape Coast airport but would rather build an underground see travel processes. Well, we don’t mind, we will wait for them, so Ghanaians can compare and make their decision,” she further stated.
