The Former President and Flagbearer of National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama says the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is good at making promises, but poor at delivering.
John Mahama made this submission when he paid a courtesy call of the Chief and people of Sogakope.
He revealed that the NDC started that the free Senior High School (SHS), if not why would the Minister of Education then admit and revealed that NDC left a free SHS debt of Ghc35million.
“That’s the kind of deceit that we are subject to. In politics, people want to hear promises, and I know that our opponents are good at promises but very poor on delivery it,” he added.
Mahama added that NPP’s policy is to say anything that people will believe and vote for you, political power is the most important thing and when you get the power, whether you fulfil the promise or not it doesn’t matter.
“I was very happy when I heard Akufo-Addo say that this election would be about track records. I said that’s good,” he says.
“Let’s compare track records, how many communities have you electrified in the last four (4) years. We took electrification in this country to 86%, one of the best in Africa. And that is what we call track records” Mahama added.
