Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Member of Parliament for the Takoradi constituency Cuts Sod For the Construction Of Starch Processing Factory at the western region.

The Factory is in fulfilment of Nana Akuffo Addo’s ‘One District One Factory’ promise he made to Ghanaian.

The Amanfifarms is said to be in two (2) phases. The sod cutting is phase one and is expected to produce twenty (20) tons per day and covers an area of four (4) acres whiles phase two (2) will produce three hundred (300) tons per day which will also cover an area of fifteen (15) acres.

Phase two (2) of Amanfifarms is estimated to start working within six (6) months.

The total employment of both phase one(1) and (2) two Factory would give Five Thousand (5,000) direct job and two thousand two hundred (2,200) indirect jobs according to Mr. Andrews Kofi Gyan.

Mr. Andrews Kofi Gyan, Chief Executive Officer of Amenfifarms Ghana Limited says the twenty (20) tons production which is the phase one (1) would generate thousand six hundred (1,600) direct and indirect jobs.
