The Parliament House to propose a draft bill against witchcraft hunting to be passed into law.
When this bill is passed, nobody would have the right to accuse another person of being a witch or seek to hurt so-called witches. Nobody would be allowed lynch a person perceived to be a witch.
If we would recall, not too long ago a 90-year-old woman accused of witchcraft was lynched at Kafaba in the Northern region of Ghana. The bill is to stop the occurrence of such incidence.
The speaker of Parliament, Hon. Aaron Mike Oquaye has announced that the house has hired a private consultant with knowledge about private members bill to present before parliament bills of such nature.
When submitted, the bill will pass into how to prevent the occurrence of a witchhunt.
